Sand cast aluminum is a traditional casting process. Casting is produced by casting molten aluminum alloy liquid in sand molds, which utilize non reusable sand molds to produce aluminum parts of different shapes. It has the characteristics of low mold cost, high flexibility, and strong material adaptability. Suitable for producing small batches and relatively complex parts.

Sand casting process control is fine, through reasonable design of casting wall thickness, placing cold iron and other measures, regulate the cooling speed of different parts of the casting, promote the grain refinement, improve the mechanical properties of the casting

Sand casting surface of the mold will be treated with special coating, such as coating with high temperature resistance and anti-sticky sand, on the one hand, enhance the wear resistance of the mold cavity and extend the service life of the mold; On the other hand, it can effectively prevent the adhesion of aluminum liquid and sand mold, improve the surface quality of castings, and reduce the difficulty of sand cleaning.

Sand casting mold mainly uses furan resin sand, phenolic resin sand, etc. These sand materials have good collapsibility, easy to release mold after cooling and solidification, reduce the risk of damage to castings
